Once again, here's another snippet from my SHAPESHIFTER SEDUCTIONS *WIP*,  a Thanksgiving Day themed erotic love story. 

So, I think I've finally got the right title, which is, Waiting For a Filly Girl.

And here's the tagline: Ex super-soldier boy meets winged filly girl. Will they live happily ever after? In Talbot's Peak territory anything is possible.

This is a 'getting to know more about you' snippet.

Seven paragraphs from Chapter Thirty-one ~

"You really do like dancing, don't you?" She spoke when his arm curled around her, and he held her close.

"Yep. Unlike some men, I like kicking up my heels." Drev whirled them as if they square danced.

"Bring me a high-kickin' stud," Keina giddily sang, altering the song's lyric. "This is fun."

In keeping with their spirited dance, with just the right amount of force, Drev jerked her close. He spoke to her ear. "Whenever I was too much of a dancin' fool, and got in her way, Mom would say no dancing on the table with your boots on, son."

"That's a saying, right?"

"Right. Although, I did try boot tap-dancing on the table a couple of times. Think I was five at the time." Drev grinned wide, his eyes flashing with pure enjoyment.

Keina sashayed her hips, adoring how he handled her as they moved closer to the pumpkin and apple pies. "In my world, the men dance with passion. You would fit right in, Drev."

Sexy Saturday kisses, everyone. And HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!

Here's another snippet from the SHAPESHIFTER SEDUCTIONS *WIP* that snuck up on me during last Thanksgiving. Yes, it's a holiday-themed erotic love story.

Anyhoo, as I said before, this was supposed to be a short story, but has morphed to novella size, and looks to be going toward 35,000 words, but could be longer. Currently -- at the demand of my heroine and hero -- I'm including a 'we're in love' scene, more fight-action scenes against enemies of Talbot's Peak, and the villain who has decided to abduct Keina, forcing her to become his bride... oh, and yes, there will be more lusty sex scenes.

My heroine, Keina, is a winged horse shifter, who has been temporarily banished from her kind's realm to Earth, and has found her way to Talbot's Peak -- home to almost every shapeshifter and supernatural being there is.

My hero, Drev, is more than human. That is, he has super-soldier powers and abilities, which is a long story unto itself. Given, he gets on particularly well with shapeshifters, he lives in a large hideaway cabin in the midst of the forest that partly surrounds Talbot's Peak. Yep, lots of running room for shifters of every type and stripe.

Seven paragraphs from Chapter Thirty ~

"One more dance, stud man. This song is irresistible." Keina draped herself against him.

"I can't say no to you." Drev circled his hands over her hips as he eased them onto the makeshift dance floor.

Keina arched back a bit to gaze into his eyes, even as their thighs glued themselves together, and moved in unison. "Another 80s ballad, right?"

"Yep. "Lost In Love" by Air Supply. 'Cause, I am so lost in love with you." Drev kept his tone somewhat light. Yet to his core, he smoldered with the strength of his feelings.

"You are piling it on, the romance...I adore it." Keina's gaze was positively starry-eyed. She caressed the curve where his shoulders and neck met, then softly locked her hands behind his neck.

"Romance is easy with you." Drev drew her closer, even as her alluring fragrance embraced him. For moments Keina sinuously moved against him, a sweet erotic torture.

Pressed together, they danced to the soft-rock melody, the poignant lyrics setting the mood. Drev couldn't tell where he ended and his woman began.

A thousand arguments crammed into his mind...why she shouldn't return to a world she'd been banished from, albeit temporarily. Why she should stay with him.

"Question, Keina." He slipped his hand upward, claiming the nape of her fragile neck. "Why serve a realm where you are discriminated against?"

"Discriminated?" She tilted her head, a quizzical expression on her face. "There is no race discrimination in my realm."

"I mean," Drev gently continued, as he threaded his fingers through her lush hair, "where you are wrongly blamed then tossed out as punishment."

"Oh."

Her pursed lips invited his kiss, and Drev tenderly urged her toward him as he leaned to meet her. Their lips caught each other, then clung with a sweetness that grabbed Drev's  insides.

"Kisses sweeter than wine," he murmured against her mouth, the old song lyric playing in his head. As their lips touched again, Drev nibbled and fondled her delectable little mouth. The tempo of their kisses, their nibbles became slow and sensual.

This week I'm featuring Pat Cunningham's debut, self-published novel, THE MOUNTAIN LION KING. Check the sidebar for Pat's previous books.

Like my romance, HER MIDNIGHT STARDUST COWBOYS, this is a ShapeShifter Seductions Presents novel, and takes place in our fictional shifter/supernatural town of Talbot's Peak, and the surrounding Montana territory. We authors at SHAPESHIFTER SEDUCTIONS have a whole, ever-growing community of  werewolves, werebeasts, and various shifters of every type and stripe, and, yes, including the herbivores. As well, other paranormal beings inhabit the Peak, including gods/goddesses, witches, fae beings, vampires, just to name a few -- and all of them take turns starring in our flash fiction pieces.

First seven paragraphs from Chapter 1 ~

Nilambari ran as if her life depended on it, because it most definitely did. If her pursuers caught her, she would die, at the hands of her husband-to-be.

She had not said a word since she and her escorts had boarded the plane in India, or during the car ride from the small private airfield to the town of Talbot’s Peak. Shock, she figured now. She’d caught only a glimpse of the town itself before the car turned off the main road onto a long, paved drive. At the end of the drive awaited the destiny Mother had groomed her for her entire life: marriage to a powerful tiger lord, a man she’d seen but never met. Zhere Ghan.

It wasn’t the prospect of marriage to a stranger that finally shook her free of her torpor. It was the wall. Eight feet of solid stone surrounding the palatial compound. Sight of that wall turned her insides to ice. This was no dream, no illusion. This was reality. Once that iron gate closed behind her, she would never emerge again.

With surprisingly steady hands she silently removed her jewelry, gifts from the man who had purchased her. She let the expensive bracelets and necklace and earrings drop to the floor of the car. Her escorts paid no attention. They were Ghan’s men to the core. They had treated her with politeness but no special caring the whole trip. To them she was a package to be delivered to their lord and nothing more.

The car passed through the open gate. Nilambari quietly toed off her slippers. She sat barefoot with her hands in her lap while the car rolled up to the house.

A figure stood before a second-story window, gazing down at them. Nilambari stiffened. Zhere Ghan? One of his minions? A son? She didn’t know, and didn’t care. She gathered her resolve.

Her chance came almost at once. Her escorts held her arms to help her out of the car, but released her for a moment to get her bags out of the trunk. It was enough. In those seconds of freedom she bolted for the wall. Halfway there she shifted to tiger. Adrenaline fueled her desperate leap. Her paws caught the top of the wall. She scrambled up and over and landed running. Her sari unfurled, fluttering to the ground behind her like a discarded bridal train.

"Stir," Keina suggestively teased. Not quite tall enough, she rubbed her ass in a stirring motion against his braced thighs, instead of on his stirring cock.

"Sassy girl. No tempting the cook." With an impulsive swat to her rump, Drev moved to the stove.

"What fun is that?" Keina mock-complained.

Following him, she nipped his arm, only a bare grazing of her teeth through his heavy knit shirt. Drev snaked his arm to grab hold of her, but she danced out of the reach.

"Sassy filly," she corrected playfully.

"My sassy filly." His dominant side deepened his voice.

Drev rushed her. Swooping her up in a tight hold, he crushed her mouth with his, intent on passionately taming his woman. Keina wrapped herself around him, her petite yet lush frame boiling his blood to lust.

To keep himself from hauling her close, and ravishing her gorgeous body, Drev  rolled out of bed, hitting the floor. He headed for his stash of sweats, bantering, "Off to the races."

"I'm right behind you, first-place stallion."

"If you want a change of clothes, Keina, there are some small sizes in the corner chest. And the bathroom is right through the door next to it." Drev paused, wondering if he needed to gentlemanly assist her in some way he wasn't. "Want me to collect your clothes from the front room?"

Keina grinned at him in all her naked glory. "No worries, Drev. I'll find my clothes, and get dressed. Go heat the stove. Fix my oats."

"Right away," he teased in response, then spun around to throw on some clothes.

Damn, his hellacious bruising had healed in record time. And he felt like a million dollar stud.

Hearing the bathroom door click shut, Drev grinned, and strode for his kitchen. Not everyday a man fought a bestial equine prince over a princess. And, not just any princess, a winged horse princess.

His hands itched to grab hold of her hips, and Drev balled them into fists. Damn, he wanted to stroke the shapeshifter woman until pleasure overwhelmed them both. Right now, her human form made his entire body rigid with need.

Discipline, buddy. Remember, it's how you stayed alive.

Getting a grip on his raging hormones, Drev entered the room. He halted as Keina spun to him.

Currents of sexual energy zapped between them, palpable to Drev. He witnessed the sparkly flash in her amethyst eyes, her quick pants of breath. He heard the trip-trip racing of her heart -- one of his unusual abilities.

Drev ached to swoop Keina against him, devour her with kisses, then take her with every manner of passion. Oh hell yeah, lust had him by the balls. Bigtime.

Slow down. Don't frighten her, Drev cautioned himself, even as the ferocity of his desire leaped. No bounds, he thought

Drev sucked in a breath, and kept his feet super-glued to the floor. Yes, she wants you, buddy boy. But you're coming on too strong.

 Chapter Ten 

Keina brushed her fingertips over his stubble tracing his cheekbone. "You feel so good. I'll be right here...waiting, Drev. That's an unusual name, right?"

He grinned disarmingly. Yet, both humor and sadness shone in the depths of his eyes. "I'll explain once I return, Keina."

As Drev strode out of the room, Keina raised to her elbows appreciating his backside. Her gaze traveled from his yummy broad shoulders to the chiseled definition of his back, then down to his *I want to feel your* ass.

Keina stared at his beautiful-to-her-eye legs just before he disappeared through the doorway. Sizzly-hot inside, she lowered herself onto one of the plump pillows and pulled the covers up.

Seconds later, she realized she'd never seen such powerful thighs and calves on a man, which struck her as odd, given the men-stallions she knew in her home realm. Drev wasn't what Earthers called overly musclebound like...what was that actor-governor's name?...Arnold something.

No, her hunter's build was athletically balanced, proportioned for strength and speed.
Her hunter. Keina shivered inside, knowing she wished with all her heart that he could be hers. If, if somehow...but that would be a fairytale or a fantasy wish.

Don't think about, she told herself. Be with him before the storms of life take you away.

Chapter One:
Who Ya Gonna Call?

Just goes to show, you're not safe anywhere. One minute Ewan Carter had paused outside the bar to shake an annoying bit of gravel out of his boot, the next somebody yanked a canvas bag over his head, two somebodies grabbed his arms, and he was being hustled into the back of a van. Now, Ewan was a man who liked to see action on a Saturday night, but this was all a tad much.

His nose told him several things: his captors were human, not Tiger Yakuza; he hadn't smelled them around Talbot's Peak before; and they'd had a couple slugs at the bar, probably just enough that a public kidnapping seemed like a good idea. One of them tripped against a cycle's wheel and went, "Darn it!", which told him they were young and unprofessional as well as mildly drunk. It all added up to college kids on a dare. Them being human and him not, he could probably shake 'em off with a minimum of fuss, without even having to shift.

He was about to lash out when the one on his left arm crushed in a step closer and his nose let him know she was female. Chivalry checked the elbow he'd been ready to ram into her ribs. Curiosity did the rest. Now why would a bunch of college kids nab a random cowboy outside of Dante's bar? Confident now he could ditch these puppies any time he wanted, Ewan decided to play along and see what they were up to. Besides, for a Saturday night it had been pretty dull up to now.

However, token resistance did seem called for. The kidnapper on his other arm was male. Ewan hip-slammed him and trod on his foot and knocked his elbow into the monkey's chin before two more males grabbed hold of him. After that he let himself be man and womanhandled into the van with little fuss.

"Don't be frightened," the woman whispered to him as the van sped out of the parking lot. "We're not going to hurt you. We only want to help."

"You'd be helping a ton if you took this bag off my head. It stinks to high heaven in here."

"Forget it," the male on his other side growled. "You're not biting anybody, werewolf."
